Go Upstream, not Downstream Series

This series is going to be covering the concept that as Christians we are not to go with the flow of the world. The world is on a downward spiral to hell. Followers of Christ must go against the current. Everything we do should be heavenly minded. That means we must fight against the current that tries to get us to conform to the standards of this world. Going Upstream means that we must make the decision that the will of God is more important than appeasing man. To Go Upstream means to take a stand on Biblical principles, doing the will of God, and living a life that gives glory to God. Continue reading “Go Upstream, not Downstream Series” »

Go Upstream-Keep Dreaming

Go Upstream and Keep Dreaming

If you determine to Go Upstream (taking a stand on Biblical principles, doing the will of God, living a life that gives glory to God) you will need to Keep Dreaming. Those who go with the flow, normally are those who go with the status quo. The status quo is the same ole same ole, Don’t rock the boat. “We have always done it that way.” To go upstream is going to require dreaming. Having goals, desires, hopes, dreams.  It is going to require you to Keep Dreaming against all odds. Continue reading “Go Upstream-Keep Dreaming” »

Go Upstream and You Will be Unpopular 2

go upstream-unpopularGo Upstream and You Will be Unpopular

If you determine to Go Upstream (taking a stand on Biblical principles, doing the will of God, living a life that gives glory to God) you will be going against the flow of the extremes in the culture, in politics, and in Christianity. Those who take a stand against the extremes are exposing the misconceptions, hypocrisy, and at times. the dishonesty of the extremes. If you go upstream you will not fit in the box of the extremes. This, needless to say, will make you unpopular and a target of hatred. Continue reading “Go Upstream and You Will be Unpopular” »

Go Upstream-Some Christians Will Hate You

If you determine to Go Upstream (taking a stand for Biblical principles, doing the will of God, living a life that gives glory to God) you will be going against the flow of the world. But almost for sure you will also be going against much of the downstream flow of Christianity in America. Much of the Christianity today is not the Christianity of the Bible. That should be clear to anyone that reads their Bible.  The Christianity in America today is overall a worldly Christianity. It is a Christianity that winks at sin and even goes as far as to not call sin, sin.  It is a self-serving Christianity. It is a fell good Christianity. Go Upstream against the EXTREMES

If you determine to Go Upstream (taking a stand on Biblical principles, doing the will of God, living a life that gives glory to God) you will be going against the flow of the extremes in the culture, in politics, and in Christianity. You will actually be doing what Jesus did while He was on earth. Some say Jesus was too pagan for the religious and too religious for the pagan. Truth is Jesus was neither pagan or religious.

Even if it is not popular, we as Christians must go upstream against the extremes. Otherwise we will never be able to reach ALL with the Gospel. The All includes those who are targeted by the extremes. Continue reading “Go Upstream against the EXTREMES” »

Go Upstream-Biblical not Popular

If you determine to Go Upstream (taking a stand on Biblical principles, doing the will of God, living a life that gives glory to God) you will be going against the flow of the extremes in the culture, in politics, and in Christianity. Those who go upstream are biblical but not very popular. Biblical and popular are opposites and will always be the case. The Bible makes it clear that there is always only a remnant that desire to follow the principles found in the Bible. Continue reading “Go Upstream-Biblical not Popular” »
