Christian Twelve Steps

The Christian Twelve Steps are an adaption of the Twelve Steps of AA. They are based upon principles found in Scripture. There are those who say the way of deliverance from addiction is one step (from darkness to light through Jesus Christ) not the twelve steps. This can absolutely be true. But once a person is delivered/set free from addiction, they must walk it out. The biblical principles in the Christian Twelve Steps if applied prevents a person from being a ‘dry drunk’ and from relapsing. There are many individuals who no longer have an addiction after accepting Jesus in their life but they are living a life like a dry drunk. Continue reading “Christian Twelve Steps” »

Kanisha Supporting Brittney Holifield

I interviewed Kanisha, who devoted her time and energy to help Brittney Holifield in her journey to addiction recovery.

Kanisha applied the principles she learned in her own journey to be free from addiction-applying the 12th Step of Celebrate Recovery, sharing the message of hope to others. The sacrifices that Kanisha made for Brittney was in response to her thankfulness and gratitude for those who helped her in her own addiction recovery.

Kanisha acknowledges she only had around 11 months of recovery and she could have certainly relapsed herself if she did not make Jesus number one in her life and if she had not surrounded herself with others who were strong in their recovery. Brittney Holifield Testimonial

When I made an emergency trip to Arkansas I made sure I dropped by a church close to our home. I made some great connections. On Monday I felt strongly led to drop by the Celebrate Recovery meeting. Time wise it was not the best decision, but spiritually it was well worth it. I was able to hear the testimony of Brittney Holifield. Her story is a story of redemption and transformation.
