Is there a way to guarantee equality in the world? We all would say no. Is there a way to guarantee equality in America. The obvious answer is no. BUT, if there is anyplace in the world that there is the greatest opportunity for equality, America is certainly one of those places. What if I was to say there are certain principles that if followed, will not guarantee equality but will equip any person of any race, skin color, culture to be able to overcome inequality?
If a person is able to be equipped to overcome inequality, the end result there is a guarantee that a person does not have to be hindered by inequality. I challenge you to read on.
Guarantee the Ability to Overcome Inequality in America
If the following occurs in a person’s life they have the potential to overcome inequality. In fact, they can overcome inequality. Thus the end result is equality in America.
How to Overcome Inequality:
- Grow up in a home with loving parents, acknowledging at times the parents will fall short
- Grow up in a home where there the parents love each other and there is not divorce
- Grow up in a home where there is godly discipline
- Grow up in a home with a strong work ethic
- Grow up in a home where Christianity is lived out
- Accept Jesus as your LORD & Savior at a young age
- Complete High School at a minimum
- Don’t have sex until married, thus do not have a child until married
- Don’t get married to the wrong person, follow biblical guidelines
- Don’t have children until able to afford having children
- Don’t live with a victim mentality
If a person follows the above they will overcome stereotypes, prejudices, and will not have a victim mentality. Instead they will be overcomers.
What Ultimately Does not Work
Quotas, affirmative action, welfare, enabling ultimately will not help a person to overcome inequality if they live a life with a victim mindset or ‘the world owes me something’. Why? Because with the wrong mindset/attitude a person will miss God given opportunities. God given opportunities will ALWAYS equip a person to overcome inequality. Those who depend upon others or a system, instead of being proactive in their life will raise children with the same mindset and the ‘victim’, ‘you owe me’ cycle repeats itself.
Here is a reality, as long as there are human beings on earth there will be inequality.
Lift Up/Not Hand Out
We are not saying it is wrong to provide assistance to help individuals overcome obstacles. What we are saying is there is a difference between Lifting Up and Handing Out. One is equipping the other is enabling.
Here is Good News-Even if a person grows up in an extremely dysfunctional home, gets pregnant out of wedlock, is raising a child on their own, grew up in an atheist home, they can still overcome inequality. How? By receiving Jesus Christ as their LORD & Savior. Jesus will be their advocate, their mediator.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Jesus Christ overcomes inequality.
The good news is in America you have the freedom to be a follower of Christ. Followers of Christ are not victims but overcomers.
“But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.”
“but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
1 Corinthians 15:57
“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world–our faith.”
1 John 5:4
If you are not born again, saved, a follower of Christ, I would encourage you to make the decision to turn your life over to Jesus as your Lord. He will equip you to overcome any inequality. Click Here to learn about Christianity, Jesus, Eternal Life.
