Dr. Ben Carson believes the solution to America’s problems is not the government but We the People. The solution is not the government but God working through His people. The solution is not yelling, shouting, name calling, spewing poison but American uniting together and applying Biblical principles to the problems of the day. Applying and following the principles found in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. Continue reading “We the People-Our Hands Heal” »
What makes Dr. Ben Carson stand out from the other Republican and Democratic candidates? I am going to approach this topic in a unique manner by answering the question by asking another question and sharing the answer to the second question. You will understand why in a moment.
I was reading an article titled “Why is EWTN (Eternal Word Television Network-A Catholic Television Network) Boycotting Ben Carson” by Justin Soutar. His position is that ETWN is controlled by the Beltway media elite, the Washington D.C. media establishment and they are intentionally boycotting Carson because they absolutely loathe Carson and fear that Carson has the potential of winning the Presidential election if American citizens were fully aware of who the man, Dr. Carson is, and what he stands for as a Presidential candidate. Soutar believes Carson is the clearest example of a candidate that stands for just the opposite of what the media supports. So how does Soutar describe Carson? I believe that Mr Soutar’s description of Dr. Ben Carson is very accurate and his perspective on Dr. Ben Carson answers the question, What Makes Dr. Ben Carson Unique? Continue reading “Dr. Ben Carson-What Makes Him Unique?” »
I wrote this originally on November 27, 2013. I would say it is totally right on to what has taken place with Obama and it appears that Donald Trump will be the ‘conservative’ version of Obama.
Let’s take a note at the concept of pride. As a general concept we believe there are three types of pride:Good (Healthy) Pride-This type of pride that is based on feeling good and doing good for good motives. Foolish Pride-This type of pride may come from insecurities, wounds, and may not even be known by the person.Evil pride-This type of pride has wrong motives and is the intentional ‘puffing up of oneself’. One of my ‘trademarks’ in the past is that whenever I would preach I would start out almost always saying ‘Let’s get real’. Not a bad slogan to have. Let’s get real about the TRUTH.
Know the TRUTH and the TRUTH Will Set You Free
31 Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings.
32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

During this Christmas season as we look at the story of the birth of Christ, we should be overwhelmed by the humbleness of Jesus-the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. As we look at the life of Christ from His birth to His death we see a humble servant. It should become clear that Christ manifested His power through humbleness. There truly is power through humility. There is actually salvation from sin and the reward of heaven for those who humble themselves before God and receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Let’s look at Jesus humbleness.
5 Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus,
6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped,
7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.
8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
Jesus emptied Himself taking on the form of a baby. That is humbleness. King of King comes to earth as a baby. Continue reading “Jesus-The Power of Humility” »
Currently there is excitement in America, even across the world. Why? Because another Star Wars movie has come out. People are not only excited but they are hyped to the max. Waiting in lines in the rain. Many covered with makeup and every kind of Star Wars costume you can think of. They are preparing themselves for a great experience at the theater with other Star Wars fans.
It is okay to have fun and have a good ole time. Nothing wrong with that. BUT “I have a bad feeling about this.” Continue reading “Star Wars and the Return of Christ” »
Dr. Ben Carson because of his calm demeanor has been accused of being too soft in regards to handling terrorism. Yet, up to a year ago he has been stating that ISIS must be totally destroyed by whatever means possible. Some of the strategies listed below he has been speaking on for months. But because he does not shout, yell, attack, hate, and spew rhetoric he is seen as weak. Most Americans and even Christians do not understand the concept of meekness. strength under control. Jesus was meek but He certainly was not weak. Continue reading “Dr. Ben Carson-Steps to a Safer America” »
The image says Rhetoric-The Public Speaking Game. Much of what is being said in America by politicians, followers of politicians and various issues, and even Christians is like a game. Many individuals are more concerned about winning the game than they are about truth and facts.
Definition of Rhetoric
a. language that is intended to influence people and that may not be honest or reasonable
b. the art or skill of speaking or writing formally and effectively especially as a way to persuade or influence people Continue reading “Rhetoric in America Series-Introduction” »
I will share the talking points of both sides of the issue and then hopefully bring logic, reasoning, the Constitution, and Biblical principles into the discussion. For the sake of discussion I am including some of the extremes of both sides of this issue, to show the flaws of each of these extremes. Always in the midst of rhetoric there is some truths, but lies, deception. emotions, etc. are also inserted in the rhetoric. We need to focus on the truths and facts, not deception and emotions. Understand that in one article we cannot cover this topic to the fullest extent.
Anti-Muslims in America Rhetoric
This is a generalized title. The group on this side sees the potential of all Muslims being a threat to Americans. Even Muslims that are American citizens. To defend their position they demonize Islam and Muslims. Continue reading “Rhetoric in America-Part One” »
The rhetoric and hypocrisy among many Conservatives is starting to look more and more like the rhetoric and hypocrisy of liberals. (I am speaking in some generalities, but sadly they are becoming more commonplace.)
Conservatives Dislike Generalizations
Most police officers in America are doing a great job of being police officers. Conservatives get irritated when cop haters spend all their time posting about a bad cop and ignoring the fact that most police are not bad. Continue reading “Rhetoric in America-Part Two” »
