In our last posting we addressed the topic of what day is the Lord’s Day? It is clear in Scripture that Saturday or the Seventh-Day is the Lord’s Day. So if that is the case why do most Christians believe that Sunday or the First Day is the Lord’s Day. Many will say it is because Jesus resurrected on the First Day of the week. However, no where in Scripture is there any verse, passage, or even a hint of this being the case. So how did Sunday become the Lord’s Day?
What Day is the Lord’s Day?
I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like the sound of the trumpet.
Many people say the Lord’s Day is the First Day of the week-Sunday. Is this because the Bible defines Sunday as the Lord’s Day or is it because of the tradition of man? Many say Sunday is the Lord’s Day is because of Resurrection Sunday. But again, is this what the Bible says or the tradition of man? We are looking to the Bible, not man, for the answer.
A Month of Prayer for America
The most important thing we as Christian Americans can do isPray for America. Prayer 31 is a call for One Million people to pray for America in the month of October 2014. Prayer for America is very critical with all that is taking place in this world and the threat of ISIS/ISIL/IS/Islam to America. The month of October is critical because in November we have elections throughout America.
10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like the sound of a trumpet,
Lord’s Day: Man does not decide which day is the Lord’s Day. The Lord, God decides. What day did He call His? The Sabbath Day, seventh day of week. God is the author of the Lord Day and only He can change it. No evidence that He changed it. (We will be posting a biblcial study on the Lord’s Day and link it here later.)
Sound of trumpet: To fix his attention, an alarm

Revelation 1:1-9 (NASB)
1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant John,
Revelation: not detailed future, but overall future; the book is about Jesus second advent
The revelation came from God to Jesus to angel to man, thus the revelation came from God. The Father reveals Himself and His will in, and by, His Son.

Overview of Islam
According to Islamic tradition, Abraham’s firstborn son Ishmael and Ishmael’s mother Hagar, after being banished by Sarah, ended up in the desert surrounding Mecca, where they were miraculously rescued. Abraham—or Ibrahim, as he is known in Arabic—visited them there and he and Ishmael built the Ka’bah (shrine). Muslims believe they are the true heirs, through Ishmael, to the promise God made to Abraham. (Ask Muslims if they believe in the Old Testament-they will say yes in regards to the first five books of the Old Testament-the Torah. Then ask them if what they believe is true, why is there nothing in the Torah about Ishmael being the promise. All the kings of Israel and Judah came from the lineage of Issac, not Ishmael. The Torah has almost nothing on the lineage of Ishmael-must not be that important to God.) Continue reading “Muslims: Overview of Islam” »
This series is on reaching Muslims with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The reality is that it is going to be almost impossible to reach committed Jihadist Muslims. Not impossible but almost impossible. Most likely it is going to take a converted Muslim to reach them unless God supernaturally does something. So this series is going to be directed towards reaching those who are ‘moderate Muslims’.
We want to make it clear that this series purpose is not to attack individuals. Its goal is to equip Christians with the ability to confront the false teachings of Islam, not individuals. As Christians we are to love all people regardless of their belief system. We are to show them respect. Our goal is to present truth in love, not to convert individuals-that is the job of the Holy Spirit. We are to be vessels of honor used by God to help individuals to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Continue reading “Muslims-Introduction” »
