Deity of Jesus Christ-Part 5 5

Jesus all authorityDeity of Jesus Christ-Part 5
Jesus has the characteristics of God

Only God is immortal
1 Timothy 1:16-17
16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Jesus is immortal. Some may say vs 17 is about God the Father, but the context would make it appear that it is talking about Jesus.

God is Preexistent
Colossians 1:17
And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
Jesus was before all things. That means He was before all things existed. He had no beginning just like God had no beginning. And all things consist by Jesus.

Only God can forgive sins
Mark 2:5-7
5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.
6 But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,
7 Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?
Jesus forgives sin

God is all powerful
Matthew 28:18
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Jesus is all powerful

God is all knowing
Colossians 2:3
In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Jesus is all knowing

God is omnipresent
Matthew 18:20
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Jesus is omnipresent

In the next lesson we will see how Scripture says that Jesus is equal to God.

All authority has been GIVEN to, from the God Jesus worshipped: Yahweh. If Jesus was already a deity, he would have had the authority already and it would not have been needed to be given to him. Stop twisting scripture.

Amazingly you have totally ignored ALL the Scriptures that clearly state the deity of Jesus Christ. How about addressing each Bible passage that clearly describes the deity of Christ.

BTW, Jesus is called the son of God. Does that mean before His incarnate birth He was not the son of God? Are that prior to His incarnate birth He was born? No, the Scriptures clearly state that He is an eternal being, not a created being. Was He literally the son of God? No!

Jesus has a God, so he is not God. Gods dont pray to other Gods. He is the Son, he said so, and the Bible says so MANY times over. Jesus was created before the rest of creation, to US he is eternal but not to the God he worshiped. I dont know why I waste my time with close minded trinitarians. MY God is the God Jesus worshiped and Jesus is my Savior. Peace to you.

Once again you have conveniently ignored ALL the Scriptures that describe the deity of Jesus Christ, characteristics that make it clear He was God. immortal, pre-existent, forgives sin, all powerful, all knowing, omnipresent, creator, savior, equal to God. There are over 20 verses describing Jesus’ deity and you have not addressed any of them. You acknowledge Jesus as Savior but less than God. That is not what the Bible declares.
          Jude 1:25
To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
(The contest of this verse is about Jesus.)

          Hosea 13:4
Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.
(The only Savior is God and Jesus is the Savior, so Jesus is fully God.)
