Dear Readers,

This is a controversial subject but so many people are now divorced and lonely that I thought I would share a recent experience with two sweet ladies…

Many divorced people who have lost a mate are very lonely.  No one wants to be alone, not really.  Should we stop looking for our soulmates?  Obviously our first partner wasn’t the one!

Recently I have observed two middle aged women who have drawn really close to the Lord after their breakups.  Both have given total control over this issue back to God.  Both are going back to their roots and trusting totally in Jesus to bring them an evenly yoked soulmate, something that didn’t come with their first husbands.

Some people don’t believe in second marriages.  But scripture also says that unevenly yoked couples are also questionable.  Most importantly, Jesus is all forgiving.

The wonderful part about observing these women is the new growth of their Christian walks!  It is amazing to see them become totally dependent on the Lord, after years of falling away from Him, which sometimes happens in marriages where one partner is a believer and the other is not.

Once we get over grieving and look in the mirror and pray, “OK Lord, is today the day you are going to introduce me to my soulmate?  I’m waiting and trusting in You and You alone to bring him to me!”

I myself even wrote Him a letter and listed all the qualities I wanted in a soulmate, and then held my letter in my hands during my evening prayers every night.  I’m not sure that was a good idea as God might not want the qualities I wanted.  I know I am not an easy person to live with, so this man had to be really special to tolerate my personality.  That was 24 years ago and today he is still my perfect soulmate!  I have rambled on and on enough this blog, but not a day goes by that I don’t thank God for bringing my sweetheart to me!

So, if you are lonely, talk to Jesus about this often in your prayers.  You will be absolutely amazed at what happens to the rest of your life!

Love in Christ,  Claire xoxo

P.S.  The ladies are starting a singles group for middle aged men and women at their church!!!
