BREAD OF LIFE

John 6:35  “And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life:  he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.”

“I am the bread of life” – Jesus is saying, I am the very food that gives life; spiritual and eternal life.  I sustain and satisfy your spiritual cravings.  When we feed ourselves, we are receiving food for our physical bodies.  Our flesh craves it.  The same can be said for our spirit man craving spiritual food for our souls.  How do we know?  It is written and repeated multiple times, “That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.”  (Luke 4:4)  In Proverbs 4:20-22, the Lord says, “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.  Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart; for they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.”  God wishes above all things that we prosper and be in health, even as our souls prosper. (3 John 2)  He created us; he knows what we need.  He’s a good Father!  He tells us how to be physically AND spiritually healthy.  More good news is found in the next line:

ABOUT FAITH

Luke 17:11-19 reads:  “And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.   And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:  And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.  And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.  And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.  And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?  There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.  And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.”

There are MANY different ways the Bible defines faith.  We are going to see from scripture how vitally important faith in who God is, and what He says, is.  Ultimately, it is a matter of WHOLENESS spiritually.  In the passage above regarding the ten lepers, all ten obeyed Jesus, which is a trial in and of itself; by going to show themselves to the priests.  That act was the law and custom of the day.  It is of great importance to note that one must also be willing to accept Christ’s mercies in the WAY and METHOD God chooses.  A good example of this is in 2 Kings, chapter 5.  Naaman was a Syrian captain in the army who had leprosy.  The prophet Elisha told him to wash in the dirty Jordan River seven times to be healed.  At first he refused to do it.  He was angry about the method of his healing.  He wanted something more star-studded because he thought of himself as more of a celebrity.  In the end, it was one of his servants that persuaded him to follow the seemingly foolish and simple instructions that ultimately resulted in his healing.

Sowing of Blood; Reaping of Souls

Galations 6:7-8 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for ‘whatsoever’ a man soweth, that shall he also reap.  (So that can be anything) For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.”   I also like what Hosea says in chapter 10 verse 12:

“Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.”

This is a different spin on the typical sowing and reaping message…generally you hear these terms in connection with money.

It is my prayer that the Holy Spirit will break up some fallow ground in the hearts of people today, all around the world, with the Word of God.  May it be preached, that we have opportunity to sow ourselves into right standing with God, otherwise, how shall we reap mercy from Him?

THE DEVILS KNOW HIM

Luke 4:33-34 “And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice saying, “Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth?  Art thou come to destroy us?  I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God.”

I was impressed very early this morning by the Holy Spirit to read Luke, chapter 4.  As I prayed, seeking the Lord for what he wanted me to zero in on, I landed on two passages: vs. 33-34 above, and vs. 41 which states:  “And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God.  And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ.”

Christmas and Christianity

I have been studying and uncovering information regarding this subject for a few years.  Let me say this first…I am not an expert!  But God’s Word says, “For every one that asks, receives; and he that seeks, finds; and to him that knocks, it shall be opened.” (Matt. 7:8)  When you ask, however, be ready for the truth; it may not be what you expect!  God’s Spirit will not fail to reveal what you should know about his character, his statutes or laws through the Torah, and all the Holy Scriptures, Genesis through Revelation. THAT is our plumb line.  I recommend you visit the library and/or search the vast resources on the internet.  The Holy Spirit will lead you.

My heart yearns to share God’s truths with sinners and saints alike.  The Father’s love burns in me; so much so, I desire none should perish either.  But it was GOD who loved the world so much, that he gave his only begotten son, (to die as a perfect, sinless sacrifice), that WHOSOEVER believes in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life! (John 3:16) The following points are designed to whet your appetite so you will search things out yourself.  Read the scripture references and study some of the many history videos out there now on pagan origins of the holidays Christians celebrate.  We need to start asking the right questions!

Prayer for Metabolism

The following prayer was designed for metabolism healing, inspired by the Holy Spirit back in July, 2009.  I just happened upon it today, and as I kept looking at it, I felt compelled to post it.  It has truly been a healing prayer, anointed by God for those who believe the Word of God and the precious blood of Jesus, shed on the cross (Psalm 103:1-6).

‘We speak to the collection of chemical reactions that takes place in _______’s (name of person) body cells.  We command his/her metabolism to convert the fuel in the food he/she eats into the energy needed to power everything he/she does, including moving, thinking and growing, in the name of Jesus.  We command the specific proteins in the body to function properly so that they control the chemical reactions of the metabolism to coordinate with other body functions according to the Word of God.

THIRSTY?

John 4:10   Jesus answered and said unto the Samaritan woman at the well,“If thou knewest the GIFT of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

The woman at the well had come to draw water that day, not unlike other days past.  How could she have known she would soon encounter the Son of God, the Eternal Living Water, and Truth made Flesh?  She of course did not.  But this day changed her life forever.

Jesus then answered and said unto her, “Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:  But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be IN him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”  (John 4:13-14)

Days of Noah

“But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” (Matt. 24:37)

I am glad to be back to Christian Blog Sites.  The past months have been a time of fiery trials, purifying, pruning, drawing near to our heavenly Father, and humility.  Through it all, I have learned one very important point;  I don’t know much  about anything!  But here I am, sharing my heart as the precious Holy Spirit leads me.  I pray someone is blessed and edified by the nuggets the Ruach reveals to me as I continue to be obedient.

In reading the scriptures this morning, I was reminded of a statement the Lord spoke to me a couple of years ago:  “You are in the days as of Noah.”  I don’t know about you, but that shakes me to the core.  Let me emphasize the timing…He said this a couple of years ago.  There are many things happening in the world today that are indicators of how days were back then, and worse.  I also believe our Father has “delayed” some things so the Body of Christ can get in line with His will and purpose before His judgment increases.  For that I personally am very thankful.

Jesus is coming soon…Do you know him?

Do you know that God loves you so much, he gave his only Son; so that if you believe in him, you will not perish, but will spend eternity with him in heaven? (John 3:16; 1 John 5:13)

Do you know he forgave you and healed your diseases? (Psalm 103:3)

Do you know his Spirit can dwell in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16)

Do you know his voice? (John 10:4)

Do you know his will for your life? (Acts 22:14; Ephesians 1:17-19)

Do you know him as friend? (James 2:23)

What we don’t know is the day or the hour in which he will come!  (Mark 13:32)

If you want to know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, and would like to be made alive to ALL his promises in the Word of God, say the following prayer and believe the words with all your heart.  You WILL be born again!  (Romans 10:9)

Jesus, come into my life.  Forgive me of all my sins.  I ask you to cleanse my heart, and make me a new person in you right now.  I believe that you are the Son of God and that you died on the cross for me and all of humanity.

Jesus, I want to thank you for loving me enough to die for me.  I accept all that your shed blood bought for me on the cross, and I receive you as my Lord and Savior today.  In your name I pray, Amen.

If you have just prayed that prayer, welcome to God’s family!  In the New Testament, II Corinthians 5:17 says, “…old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”  In God’s eyes, you have a clean slate, and his Spirit will give you the desire to obey him and the power to do what pleases him.  (Philippians 2:13)

My prayer is that I will celebrate eternity with you in heaven; with Jesus, our wonderful Lord!
